    My 23 year old daughter want to get into the Biz.

    Not as a model but as a TGP gallery submitter.

    I just bought her a new computer and workstation (I will have her boyfriend put it together) I'm sure some screws will be left over.

    This weekend I will teach her how to find niche sponsors to promote.

    I have a huge list of TGPs for her to submit her galleries. She will have to learn the very basics of Frontpage and PhotoImpact. She wants to quite her job in April.

    If she works hard and finally listens to my advice she should be able to make at least 2-3K clear a month. That should pay her minimal bills and then she can work at it full time.

    I have my doubts but at least it will provide her a good side income.

    any additional advice?

    She soon will be on GFY asking the newbie questions that I asked a few years ago (not if I can help it though).

    It should be an interesting new year.

                                      highly specific niche
                                      and a huge amount of research

                                      numbers provide the key to her first sucess.

                                      I think by April (if she works hard and listens to my advice) she should be getting at least 100k TGP hit per day.

                                      I will help her with the gallery designs.

                                      How many gallery designs have those that post gone through. I think I have tried over 50 redesigns and have finally found through trial an error so good concepts.

                                                      Anyway I will just get her to do things that I would do if I had the time.

                                                      running paysites, search engine work, adword trials, TGP submissions, and play. I have no extra time that I wish to expend to do these things.

                                                      She will be a great guinea pig (I made sure that she knows I will not support her if she quits her job after some initial sales).

                                                                      There is no point to quitting your "day job" before you know the essentials on HTML (Dreamweaver) and web page coding (directory structures, ftp'ing, email/newsletter marketing, and basic traffic analysis), and basic design (Photoshop) skills. You have to become a webmaster before ever becoming an "adult webmaster"...the investment in the basics pays off no matter what.

                                                                      AVS/AEN programs offer free hosting, resources/content, and free billing systems combined with affiliate program opportunties that I think you may want to consider her giving a try, aside from the FHG/TGP duties. Every webmaster knows you have to have more than one crop growing in order to harvest a feast.

                                                                      That being said, I welcome her to this business and all the opportunity that coms with it. Myself, have been a full time hired adult (internet) industry employee for the past 7 years, I tend to be more cautious when the idea of quitting a guaranteed paycheck comes into play. But I love helping webmasters of all skill levels. That is what I do Newbies are a life blood to our industry, expecially now when it is at an all new "survival of the fittest" level. We need all the talent and sponge minds we can get. This is healthy for hosting, billing, content, affiliate, boards, resource sites, magazines...the entire industry.

                                                                      If I can be of help, I know the resources in and out. In the mean time, tell her to buy a printer and read all the information she can absorb. There is good information out there and it all helps.
