We got one of those Mr Beer, beermaking kits a few years ago for Xmas. Surprisingly it made decent beer with some adjustments. We had to add something to it that we got at a specialty shop, but I can't remember what it is. I could ask my husband.
Bush can no more fire Rove than Charlie McCarthy could fire Edgar Bergen.
Everytime a friend or family member trys to make Beer it ends up flat (but tastes good) most of the time. If I am going to make it I want to be sure it is not so flat. There has to be methods out there to avoid that flat beer taste.

you gotta clean the whole bunch, desinfect, theres special stuff for it (wear gloves itll burn your hands) you can use sulfite, sterinet or soda
lot of trouble for a little bit of beer...but hey if you got the extra time why not..just dont expect to fill a keg and get drunk for 2 weeks...good luck and let us know how it turns out for you
I poured out a jug of putrid piss colored/smelling disaster once after carefully following homebrew instructions and have never been inspired to try again. I gagged for at least 10 minutes over one taste, I seriously think someone would have died if they drank a whole glass of it
