And yes I have had tried the shot of whiskey remedy as well and it doesn't work. It dries you out, which isn't something you want when you have a cold.

well i didnt mix the whiskey in with my tea and honey BUT i did have tea with honey within 5 mins from the shot. so i dont think that works either lol

i take a daily multivitamin and then i have been taken 3 vitmin c pills a day. still nothing.

you need to take 2 - 5k mg before you get sick of vitamin c - haven't been sick in over 10+ years doing this method - when you feel the slightest hint of a scratchy throat or something - then hit the 'c' hard

I've never heard that whiskey cures a cold. But I've heard that it works wonders on a sore throat.

Ok, first, it's usually a shot (or shots) of warm whiskey; and it's not meant as a cure, it's meant as a treatment. It does one of two things (usually both), you either:

A.) get drunk enough to temporarily feel better (drunk)
or
B.) pass out and let the cold run it's course.

Don't think of it as a secret remedy... think of it as ancient NyQuil
