Its actually quite easy.

If you are talking 3 months, then they dont need anything other than the regular Visa Waiver form that they fill in when they enter the US.

Anything over 3 months you have 2 options..

1) Apply for an extended Visa. It took me around 6 months to get mine approved.

2) Leave the United States every 60 days for 24 hours and re-enter. Send em to do a photoshoot in the Bahamas, up in Canada, in Mexico, etc for a long weekend and they wont have any problems getting back in the country as long as they dont look like they come from Iraq / Afghanistan / The Middle East.
