Dude I had 3 years of Spanish and I was completely lost. I could understand maybe 40% if they talked slowly, I would listen for key words that I knew and then try to guess what they were saying. Fuck if I knew how to reply.

Then here's the kicker. On the way home Monday I'm sitting in the airport headbanging to Slayer on my MP3 player and suddenly all of my high school Spanish started kicking in. I wanted to shoot myself. Three days earlier would have been much more convenient!
