Women retain more of the accepted role of society in a bi relationship. You have straight men, straight women and bi or gay women who all accept it and think it hot on various levels. So to sum it up. Gay women who are not dykes are still views as women, they have not attempted to transcend any roles, they are seen as sexually still very much women. Compound that this is a male oriented world and you have popularity for women liking other women, especially if a guy can get involved and get a 2 for 1.
Gay men are looked at as weak because of flamers and their general female like sexual rolls. People tend not to like those who they see as being something they are not or should not be. Compound with this anal sex which is not at all as popular as vaginal even amongst heteros, compound the stigmas about diseases from promiscuity and anal sex, on TOP of the whole transcending roles thing. It is not like a dyke does not get as much shit as a flamer honestly, so that is why I think it has a lot to do with role transcendance and its effects on people's reaction.even ADULTS need TOYS
