Amen. Too many people think it's the camera doing the work. All a camera does is provide picture quality. It's the cameraman that understands composition, framing, timing, angle, etc.
A consumer grade miniDV has the resolution for the web in most of what I see out there. But you can't shoot good quality video with a handycam, much in part to the things that make it a great camera for the consumer; it's small (which lends itself to instability), it has auto focus, it has auto iris, etc.
And forget about what the bangbros are using; think of the future and how you will compete down the road. If I were in the market for a cam right now I would look very seriously at a sony HVR-Z1U...

And then, find someone who knows how to shoot with it.
And then, find someone that knows encoding, editing, and compression of the final product.
