    Canadians in the US... question about banking...

    Will my bank card work in the ATMs in Vegas? Like will I be able to use my Interac card to withdraw USD from my CDN checking account?

      other alternatives
      - Cash is the best to have
      - ePassporte u can take out US cash
      - I have USD Visa , you can also take cash advances
      - ATM interac not sure how the conversions would work i never tried that before

          Yeah, cash is definetly king. But I'm not comfortable carrying around large amounts of cash in unfamiliar territory.

          I don't have an ePassporte account, but I do have a Paypal debit card as well as a Visa check card for my US checking account. Problem is, I might wanna get cash from my Canadian account as well.

          Hopefully it should work... I'm too lazy to call my bank right now. I leave in 11 hours and I'm still packing

              ya it works, when I was in NY 4-5 years ago many of us used our canadian Interac cards to withdraw cash. they convert it, then give it to you in USD

                  I decided to use alternate methods, ie. I got some US cash at the bank prior to leaving and I paid off my CC so it has lots of room.
                  I could put stuff here, but you don't care.

                          Fuck... I knew I forgot something. I didn't take out any US cash!!!

                          Guess I'll have to find an ATM when I transfer at Dallas.

                              you can take cash out no problem. From my experience you just can't pay for anything via interac down there.

                                      Yep... that, I'm aware of. Their debit card system is nothing like ours.

                                      And johnny1, that limit is decided by your bank, so it can be higher than that.
