College is a GOOD Thing.

In 1986, at the age of 30 I decided I wanted to get a BS degree. It took me 7 years but I did it and what is better....

I did my entire undergrad work based on a business model for launching adult CD-ROMS. I got the idea while in college when a Professor said NOTHING was recession proof....I stood up and said, "I DISAGREE".....

Hence my entrance in adult, and the launch of my CD-ROM publishing company in 1991 while I was in school full time, working full time for the Gov't as a programmer, and starting my own corp full time...

The downside of school:

I have school loans until I am 60! Argh.

Well, hello there! Nice to meet you too. I started with non-adult sites in 1997 and got into adult in 2000. I'm not content or a model, I do web design/building for myself, then generate traffic from a few sources I specialize in and promote sites via affiliate programs, preferrably PPS cam or amateur girl type sites.

Maybe I will get to Internext someday or another show... hehe

Hopefully my site will start making good money and in the future I will get to go to one of these conventions.

Hi Miranda :-)

Internext does offer opportunity but you are smart to realize it is not worth compromising yourself financially :-)) Plenty of networking to be done online, and that is as KEY as working up towards attending webmaster events.

Growth does come even if it is not as rapid as us first generation webmasters experienced in the mid to later 90's.

BUT.

The sky is certainly NOT falling, just old stale business models :-))

Nice to meet you! May you have a smashing 2005 with great growth and success! :-)

WHAT sucks, is when I started in the biz, the only problem I had was finding more buckets to catch all the coin.

Now, I need a credit card just for plastics...LOL.

Damn kids in this business have a way of making me feel like a vintaged wine.

But you havve to admit, I am still a good "year"...but I could do without being stuck in the webmaster wine cellars ...LOL. :-))

Yep, its probably been about that long ;) I still run certifiedamateurs, but mainly just into hosting for the last 5-6 years. Host a great majority of amateur sites though. Can't wait to catch up!

Well I certainly hope this year will be better. I really wish I knew how to do the super promoting and all that but dont know where to go for everything..

And I have an affiliate program I set up with ccbill but I dont even know if its working because I dont know how I should put it up on my site. Im a newbie at it.

I understand exactly what your saying. You can have the greatest product and if nobody knows this, the product will cease to exist at some point.

Good news, is YOU can do this and grow it into anything you want (check at Amateur Masters), hook up with other am's, and learn, ask questions and take notes...Kacy is the Queen of am's, she could probably help you more than anyone can :-))

Ive never heard of that WIA but I will do a search for it now.

I just feel like i have a hard time with promotion because i am in a rather small nitch.. BBW Goth there are under 10 amature paysites in this from what i can tell (amature not those ultra corp sites)
