Actually, I should say with no directors, officers or shareholders.

Like I said, an individual.

I am confused about the whole "having a meeting" process - how're you supposed to have a meeting by yourself and configure your organizational structure when you're the only decision-maker?

We are an S corp. It works well. In most states you can do it online now with the state site.

You can do a single member LLC. You would be the LLC's manager.

for your first llc aren't you better filing in your own state, so things are not as complicated the first time around

One person can form an S corporation, while in a few states at least two people are required to form an LLC.
