It's mostly sad because of everyone's seen it all before, just in movies, so for a lot of people it just ends up being 'not real' when it does actually happen, unless of course you're directly affected by it.. such as 9/11 in the US.

even when theres not a terrible disaster like the recent one the news will just look for death and negative shit to report on. yeah, its certainly the story of the last 4-5 months, i think the media had a chance to show such a great extend of the same story since the olympics.
