We live in Denver and it's been rather dry this year and my house is crazy static! Had to get three of them ....

No, but I really, really need to. I was just thinking about this earlier today. I live in the Gulf Coast area so it's fairly humid here most months, but it gets very dry this time of year. My nose and throat feel like sandpaper and I have to keep Carmex on my lips.

i JUST bought one and it's being installed into my furnace system next week.

both mine and Jman's noses are dry as hell and bloody every morning last few weeks cause it got wicked cold here and doc says a humidifier will help and stop that.

should be up and running in the house when i get back from costa rica - about $200 to buy (best unit home depot had) and another $200 to install but it feeds off the water system in the house and should evenly distrubite thoughout the house - comes with a sensor and adjustor that goes on the wall besise the thermostate.

I think I have to buy one because I hear that it can help with problems caused by dry air such as dry skin, swollen nasal passages, sinus headaches, and asthma.

                  No, but I probably should.

I'm going to put it on my list.
