its ok to donate to charity and to help cancer survivors and all. But do you really need to gain a confidence boost by going round flashing off some plastic yellow band showing you donated a *whole* $1 to the cause ?

it's sad that something such at that has become a "trend/fad"
I was at a party once and saw a guy buy one of these bracelets off someone for $5 and a beer.
Found my friend with them. I'll hit him up this afternoon. Maybe I'll offer to help start a site, charge $3 per, donate $2 to cancer research and keep the third dollar for costs and all that.

You'll have to keep more than that unless you plan on ordering quantity of like 5000+ on your order..
They range from around $1.65 - $2.25 cost per bracelet for small quantity orders of usually over 500 bracelets
There were some folks on another (not adult) forum who were trying to have them made up in bulk saying "Trend Whore" on them. Don't know if it ever happened, though.
if you bought one of those and/or wearing one, you are a retard.
that is all.
so what does that make someone with nothing better to do than sitting around starting message board threads bitching about what other people do with their money, or what they wear?

It's as retarded as those stupid magnetic ribbons on cars sporting "support our troops". WTF. Support our troops and get them the fuck out of that country.

Apparently there was a mix up a while back re emergency care. A lot of hospitals put yellow plastic wrist tags on patients that do not wish to be resucitated should they go into a coma. Apparently, there was some confusion between these wrist bands and those trendy Live Strong bracelets.
