    KABUL, Afghanistan - Afghan President Hamid Karzai appointed two warlords and former Cabinet members to influential governorships Sunday in a bid to keep the strongmen happy - but outside of his central government.

    ...
    The appointments are likely to stir unease among human rights groups, who claim the warlords abuse rights.

          Didn't we select Hamid Karzai to be the president over there? Makes sense though if you look at the big picture. Just like we glad handed Saddam for so long. We have to create enemies that people can learn to dispise. That way we can keep the war machine going. Score one for the Bush/American Government team.
