And before anyone mouths off at me, I've been watching and playing hockey my whole life. I love when the game is played well regardless of who is winning. I cheered for the US during that whole "miracle on ice" thing when they beat the Russians just as I cheered for team Canada when we squeaked past the Russians in '72. Of course I cheer the loudest when Canada wins, but I can admit when a team from some other country is playing great hockey.

Speaking for both teams USA and Canada, it always takes a few games for them to get their sea legs. They have probably felt a little jet lag, and the players are lumped in with a group of guys who they haven't played alongside very often (if at all). I'm sure they'll start putting their best games together this week.

So most Canadiens are happy when the US loses then?
