I want my girl to have had some sex. If we use the idea of 30 guys that could easily be a wild summer during college. I want her to know what is out there and to realise that if what we have is good then that is all we need. Do not be so paranoid. Girls are not going to be that turned off by the fact you weren't able to get laid before them. Ask for lessons.

Seriously, why is a woman who had multiple partners called a slut when a guy who had multiple partners is called a stud?
As long as there is trust between you and your partner, then the past does not matter. If you are both clean and disease free, who cares who you did before?

Yep, totally right. Somewhere between 24-27 you stop caring about that kinda stuff. Of course you're not gonna run out and try to hitch up to a porn star but it becomes less important.
You can't win either way. If someone was a virgin and only had 1 partner their whole life, you would wonder if they will ever wonder what it's like to be with someone else, or if they might be curious about what else is out there and what it's like to sleep with another person. Or your partner will wonder if you are the only one for them, or if there is "better" out there.
If someone had a lot partners you could argue that they already "know" what's out there, so you might be worry about how you "stack up" against their past partners, or sometimes I think that "they already know what's out there, why would they be with me?" or worry about how I might compare to their past partners.
So basically if you are insecure you will problems and doubts either way.
so your saying how many ppl a chick has slept with defines her character? pul-lease! have another!
yes, for sure, a person who is 25 and had 40 partners has a different character and attitude towards life than someone who had only 4 partners at the same age
There are a whole lotta ignorant generalizations going on in this thread...

I hate to break it to some of you, but most women have fucked close to 30 guys so I suspect many of you with such high standards would never get married. Hell average girl now adays has fucked at least 6-8 before she turns 18. That's not counting all the dicks she's sucked.
you must know a lot of skanks, because I think I knew maybe girl in high school who fucked that many guys. Out of 100+

Cause everyone wants a girlfriend where you walk down the street and guys who have banged her recognize her.. With 30 + the odds of that are pretty good.
I think if the person was secure about themselves, a person's past wouldn't bother them at all.... unless of course this person decided to continue her banging career after married, with other men...--you're absolutely right!

obviously our definitions of character are vastly different!
No, I want to marry a prude that hates sex and sees it as a chore she must perform so I continue to support her.
lol, that's totally the best way to do it

I believe marriage is no longer necessary, BUT ... in regards to two people that supposedly love one another (that is what a couple is publicly declaring by proceeding with the action of marriage ? I am his and he is mine):
a). Who cares how many person the other partner slept with, love has zero to do with that, or are you concerned about being able to pleasure the person (Sounds/looks like performance anxiety.);
b). Never keep secrets -- it is no different from telling a lie! Why bother getting into a relationship if not open and honest (true) from the start?
Realisticly (sp?) it is a question that comes up...I know my husband and I both wanted to know.
We happened to have the same numbers, and they were in the low 30's. Does that make me a slut? Hardly.....
I'd say 10 were relationships ranging from 6mo-1yr.
10 were what I thought were relationships, but they decided were one or two night stands after the fact. (that made me pretty insecure about my skills, lol, which led to my next ten.)
And 10 were friends with benefits over the years...in between relationships, why be lonely when you can satisfy both your physical needs and your emotional one with a good friend without things being weird after.
Now, those are generalizations...each situation was different....(like the guy I worked with for two years and always flirted with, but because I was his supervisor, never touched. When he moved away, I went to visit him and we had a crazy night. or the time I got wasted with an older friend of mine and would up pregnant even though I have no recollection of sleeping with him and I have no idea if I consented and don't remember or if I was passed out and he just did it anyway. and then there was the time I was making out with a guy I liked and he wouldn't stop, even when I was crying and begging and I actually passed out from him slamming my head into the wall and the only way I finally got him out and off of me by pulling my knee to my chest and kicking with every ounce of strength I had left. but I didn't count that one in my 30 above, because I don't even know what to call it...I don't want to say the R word because it makes me feel like a victim, and I've overocme that feeling, so I just call it an unfortunate incident, I guess.)...but what does it matter?
It was in the past, and we all do things we wish we hadn't. Should someone be called a slut because they enjoy sex and have done it on numerous occasions? Should someone be called an alcoholic because they enjoy drinking and have done it on numerous occasions? Should someone be called an addict because they have gotten high more than several times?
Why would you say yes or no at all, without the person in question being known, and you loving them? Isn't that what you should base your decision on? If you are in love with someone, it won't matter what happened before you were a part of their life...what matters is how they honor and respect and treat you now that you are a part of their life.
Sexual history has little to do with character....I'm a slut, according to most of you, but I have standards of behaviour at a level that is hard to find these days. I don't lie, I don't cheat, I don't steal, and I take pride in the fact that a stranger on the street can trust me just as much as my best friend.
I think the righteousness should be left to the conservative religious right. Live and let live.
anyone who knows exactly how many is probably very young or has not had any real fun. theres nothing wrong with lots of sex, as long as you are safe. safe sex or no sex is my rule. :love-smil
What's the point of getting married? Really, I want to know.
That's a kinda silly question.
Swingers marry for the same reson as everyone else, because they love each other and want to have a family and/or spend the rest of their lives as partners.
Most swingers become swingers after they are already married. It's a way to explore their sexuality without compromising the relationship. What's not to love? It's an experience that they share, and it satisies those wandering urges without betraying the person you love. Sex can be separate from love...anyone who's had a one-night-stand can vouch for that. So why is it such a stretch to say you can't have sex with someone besides your spouse if you really love them? Lots of times people cheat and then are sorry because it didn't mean anything and they realize how much they really love their spouse...well, when you swing, it's the the same, but without the guilt or divorce, and both partners are involved in the decision, so there's no betrayal, and both get to participate in the fun.
I mean, if you don't get it, that's fine...you don't have to. It doesn't work for everyone, for sure. Just don't insinuate that people who do get it don't really love each other.

I wasn't going to bother replying to him, but thank you.
Probably the number one reason for divorce is cheating, but Adam and I don't have that problem. I fuck other men (and women, lol), he fucks other women, and we both enjoy watching the other. If you don't understand, then you don't understand.

YW.
I didn't get it for a long time, either, so I can understand the confusion for people who don't get it.....but I never made judgements on other people either. If it worked for them, who was I to say anything...it just wasn't my choice at the time.
Now, though, I am secure enough in my marriage that even if he banged the best lay and the hottest chick in the world, he'd still be back, because he's crazy about me, so why put him on a leash to satisfy my OWN insecurities...especially when I don't even have those insecurities anymore, lol?
But, to each his-or her-own, eh? lol
