Also, sickle cell trait is tricky. It normally doesn't cause a problem unless certain things come into alignment. Could be the heat or exhaustion from exercise, atmospheric pressure, any number of things. At 14 it's unfathomable that no one detected his condition. Newborns since the early 70's are tested for diseases like Sickle Cell and Coolie's diseases. He should have been tested for that the day he entered into the criminal justice system. They are required to perform physical exams especially where minors are concerned.
So for some strange reason no one knew he had Sickle Cell trait? I don't think so. I think they all knew but didn't expect any problems because the trait doesn't cause problems unless certain criteria are met. Just like Coolie's disease.
A 14 year old kid as dangerous to 9 or 10 deputies? I don't think so. Not him. I know of some 14 year olds that it would take 10 deputies to take down but those 14 year olds are like 6'4" and weigh over 200lbs. Something's not right here and it looks like a combination of bizarre things that will take a while for people to figure out and take responsibility for. We don't know how much if at all a beating the kid took before the camera started rolling so it's gonna be the testimony of the deputies and inmates.
Hopefully it wasn't police brutality but a case of something happening no one could have prepared for.
