For the record that article appears to be from an Australian news site and is most likely quoting in Aussie dollars.
AUD$4500 equates to around USD$3300.
I have no idea of the going rate for H these days but as someone said above it was premo shit and the guy was completely junked out it is within the realm of possibility.
