carandiru as well, another brasilian flick about "fei ben" (prison)

understanding portuguese helps, but there are english subtitles if you don't know it.

If I'm not mistaken, Tsotsi is Presley Chweneyagae's first major film. I only saw the trailer but I could safely say it's one great film.

I'll look out for it when it hits the UK. I watched Bullet Boy today which I think was attempting to be a City Of Godish film but based in the slums of London (which are of course like a palace compared to anything in City of God). It was decent but not in the same league. Worth a watch though.

agreed..I made Peaches watch it

Took me ages to watch it because it was in the DVD player when things started to kick off with my husband so I kept putting it off but I was glad I finally watched it. A few of the same actors from City of God too.
