If you just want to shoot porn and want the higher res camera get an FX-1 you can turn it to Sd and I believe it uses the same engine as the VX2100 so it works almost exactly the same...and therfore you have the versatlity of both. however don't try and shoot HD for the internet...lol You have to encode it twice and it ends up looking very muddy. You will see people post examples of HD shot content on the internet but it is encoded at a very high bit rate and if you shoot on a SD camera in wide mode it will look better then the HD for the internet as it is only encoded once. However on a widescreen tv the HDV does look better then the Sony SD.However remember this one thing the FX-1 is not true HD and there still is not a HD Standard yet. We will have to wait til Sept and wait for the major studios and HD-DVD/BlueRay makers to make a push on what is going to be dominant. By then we will have to wait another year until the "HD-DVD"s are really selling in stores and in rental shops, by then there will be new HD Standard cameras out and everything will be obsolete. So just remember what you comfortability is with cameras.
