    Will IPad knock out the need for a mobile phone site?

    Just curious. The screen on the new IPad is much larger, so I'm assuming you will be able to surf the net and see all the sites just like on a regular computer.

    This might be good news for site owners / affiliates tapping new markets with the Ipad without having to convert to "mobile."

      I think over time people will use a mix of gadgets...iphones..ipad...netbooks etc depending on the situation.... but I dont think it will have any effect on the mobile market that is still growing and has billions of phones already in operation.

      Its just simply a new viewing gadget.

              no thats a retarded question. only a very small % of the population will have an iPad, while all the other manufacturers will copy the iPad (my guess is Sony will be one, along with major mobile carriers like netbooks) it will still only make up a small overall percent of "mobile" viewing.
