    Hard Drive Recovery Software

What is the best free hardware recovery software, I have been trying to back up my external harddrive for over a week and the program I am using is a piece.

The harddrive isn't showing up in My Computer. That's why I need to back it up like this. Any help is appreciated

Get Data Back For NTSF or FAT32 its a great utility for fucked hdd's, I had to use it, its worth the registration fee...

Trust me.. I lost ALOT of precious data and had a mental breakdown, this saved my life..

Ok thanks, does it keep the original file names and directories? Or does it shove everything into one directory and rename them recovered file blah. Also, how long do you think it would take to back up a 40 gig harddrive with it? Thanks

Get data back will pull out everything the way it was when you left it the last time..

It will recover anything and everything that is valid uncorrupted data..

Ok as long as I don't spend a week restoring the files to find out I can't save them without the paid version. Thanks for your help!

Ok great, thank you guys again for your help. The last program was taking over a week and freezing my computer, maybe because it was backing up deleted files to. Who knows. Thanks again and happy holidays
