Shots varied between 30 seconds to 2-3 minutes (would have gone longer but I don't have the remote yet for the D200) F stop was either at F/22, 29 or 8. ISO 100. Uncompressed Raw. No post processing, just raw conversion.
When it's all said and done, the D200 performed flawlessly. I just wish that you could somehow change the length of the manual shutter of 30 seconds to whatever you want, like, anything over 30 seconds is bulb.
It's nice to have ISO100, less noise as you can see, their pretty smooth. Also notice that there is no banding present in what was a huge case with this camera when it first came out.
So as my first official outing with the camera, i'd have to give it an 8/10. Always room for improvement.
100% Crops
Now you can't judge these on "sharpness" value because I wasn't properly prepared, for anything over 30 seconds, I had to hold my finger on the shutter till I got the time I wanted... I had to use the bulb exposure, which means their might be some camera shake associated with these 100% crops.
But as far as noise factor goes, this is 100% crop of a 4000+ Wide Pixel Image... (can't remember the exact size at the moment)
If that noise bugs people, then that is NOTHING a little noise ninja can't fix.
