    Let's hear it for the whiners and complainers

    Wah wah wah... no search, board sucks, nothing enabled, too many trolls.

    Wah wah wah... ugly sponsor skins, looks worse, too bright, hard on the eyes.

    Wah way way... upgrade sucks, looks worse, I'm too fat.

    STFU folks. We all know you won't be happy no matter what, so there's no sense in bitching and complaining.

    They're not making these changes for you, they're making them for the community and the community doesn't give a damn what your whiny ass has to say.

    So keep right on chirpin... because I'm sure the people putting in the hours of work just love to hear your appreciation.

                                          Ah, but you aren't one of the people who complain when any little change is made. There are some here who have to start a complaint thread every single time a skin is added, a feature is added or removed and so on.

                                              Search is CRUCIAL for this board and I hope it will be implemented after a few days or a few hours, like you suggested in your previous post.
                                              I don't use ICQ anymore.

                                                      we keep this board going, i think the people here have a right to an opinion on it, i dont personally like all parts of the new version but im sure once all bugs are filled in it will be worth the wait. what i notice most is a speed difference on page loading.

                                                              But I was getting ready to start a thread listing the things I did not like . . . primarily, the fact that after I make this post I have to go to the top of the page in order to get to the index page again . . . and the obvious fact that it doesn't look like it is even set up to have a search feature.

                                                              Hopefully that is just an oversight

                                                                  Yeah, it is set up to have search. When something is disabled, the link is just removed entirely. It's a vb3 thing, but the search is still there.

                                                                  Remember when I upgraded MP's board from vb2 to vb3? It took a couple hours for the search to re-index the 150k posts or so it had.

                                                                  Now imagine it having to do GFY's 5.5 million posts.

                                                                  I'm not saying I know what GFY's intentions are regarding the search, but if they are planning on putting it back on, it could take a little while, depending on the speed of servers and when they start(ed) the re-indexing.
