i've been to the one in Quebec. had a great time. they had these blocks of ice that they drilled holes into, which we drank our vodka out of. there was an ice church, and every room was a different theme. club with music, ice bar, hot tub outside. they even had a fireplace lol.

At least once a year these hotels are mentioned on GFY. From all the articles and such that have been posted, I gather that they melt and are rebuilt each year.

when we stayed, after the briefing, dinner, then a big blowout party, we spent almost all the rest of the time in the hot tub. the enterior isn't all that cold (i mean, we still wore gloves and winter jackets, toques etc), but those beds are freaking cold. you get a full-on arctic sleeping bag when you check in lol.

The one here melts for sure. It's about a couple hours from where I live and we see 30 degrees mid-summer.

The one in Quebec is really nice I've seen it a few times never had the nerve to stay in it though. It's popular for winter weddings.
