          Giving books is for the cheap/unimaginative. People just stop by Borders and grab any book they might possibly think that you have a shred of a chance at liking. They usually do this on christmas eve. It's a last minute, un thoughtful gift that is usually a mismatch to books you like. I'd rather get a paper snowflake on christmas than let friends/family try to pick out books for me.
