GFY celebrities and GFY spam

Does anyone else think of certain GFY members as the GFY celelbrities? MOst of you probably do but who do you see trying to be one very very hard and failing?

Also, why do people insist there is a lot of money is spamming gfy? Someone told me spam benefited Lensman but how can it help him if the outcome is the spammer making a few bucks and the average quality per post on his board going down?

It used to be, but with what kind of people are you being compared with now days on the boards..

It's become a joke. Post whores and sigwhores, and clowns..

Being labeled a GFY celeb isnt what it used to be, and nothing really to be proud of.. In fact it may be a mark against you.

I dont think its a good thing. A proud thing...Used to be...

Look at the people with the mass posts now days around here.
The ones who posted the most in this last year.

That should speak for itself..

Yeah I can think of tons of people who are celebs without GFY...

Then I can name tons that are nobody without it.

And that difference you speak of is growing, and growing fast.
