Met my wife of 14 years in a lounge we both used to frequent.

They're way better than the bar, because you can actually talk to someone and get to know them, while they're dressed to kill.

I wouldn't suggest this to too many people here though, because you must be able to pass yourself off as intelligent while you're having those conversations.
