Does Gay Porn Convert Better than Straight?

I know it`s not necessarily a straightforward answer as there are so many factors involved but generally speaking...do gay sites convert better than straight?

I have spoken to a couple of people who work in this niche and they have said yes but I would like some more opinions before committing to a project.

Hell yah, but only if you like money

Unlike the heterosexual - porn is not a sin to most homosexuals (men & women) - there is less contemplation when hovering over JOIN, allowing the button/link to be at its maximum potential. The sales are typically less than straight but the conversion ratios are typically higher.
(Yes, many sites suck ass so badly the conversions are pathetic, at best, but that is not the niche's problem).

Trans-gender ('tranny, shemales, etc) is even better, conversion wise, but the sales are even lower than that of gay.

In short, there is no wife to explain shit to.

dumbest question ever.

as a general rule, if a sites done well, frequently updated, and is something that most male straight webmasters dont wanna touch, its going to do well.

ie trannies, gay, things that arent mainstream girl girl normal penetration shit. just noticing...

You are missing the point, this question doesn`t relate to a gay site being made and updated with decent content etc.

Question relates to how gay sites convert as a whole compared to straight sites which is what I need to know ( as per what I wrote here....I know it`s not necessarily a straightforward answer as there are so many factors involved but generally speaking ).

A lot of programs have their token gay sites, but they are obviously built by straight guys. You can usually tell because the content on the tour is usually the same on all these sites and 3-4 years old.

However if you experiment with either more authentic (made by gay guys) or sites that focus on exclusive content then yes conversions can be very good.

I have taken it a bit further and built several AVS sites. My best site is converting at 1:45 JPH (1:169 first page hits)--over 50 sales. And this is strictly MGP traffic at this juncture.
