They are using this data to generate a cash value of your business. Even in non-community property states the wife is entitled to half the increase in the value of the business during the marriage plus half the goodwill value business. So expect to dole out quite a bit of cake to your wife to buy her share of the business. At this point it doesn?t matter if you switch all of you billing accounts and so on. The lawyer already has your track record of how much your business it capable of earning. BTW: the drunken/drug addicted spouse arguments rarely work in custody battles unless you have a criminal record, and or a history of treatment to back it up. Without more than just your statements it will just come across as sour grapes
