Do you actually follow any of these "youtube stars" ?

I mean, for the most part I could care less to pay any attention to these fucking people who have attained any level of youtube stardom, but occasionally there is someone out there moderately entertaining. So who if anyone's videos do you actually care to watch when you see one come up? I'm bored and need some random shit to check out for a bit. i guess any random videos would do if they are intensely awesome.

I watch the occasional RayWilliamJohnson video, he gives me the odd chuckle once in a while. Not sure where the fuck the guy spawned from, but his videos pop up in the popular section pretty frequently. Usually a decent cheap laugh or two in the mix.

I also have an odd attraction to anything meekakitty related. Simply because she gives me a raging nerd boner. I'm not really sure what she actually talks about though. usually some shit about mario brothers or jetpacks...

So is there anyone else moderately interesting worth checking out on jewtube?

I follow some people who show their vegetable gardens throughout the season. It is hard to search for hydroponic gardening and not get tons of weed growers video's though.
Some cooking ones are not bad. cookingwithdog is pretty good.

Personally i've always wondered what it is about most of these 'stars' that makes them so popular.

I'm most definitely not knocking them, but I just simply don't get it.

Most are expressing inane views on random topics. Most of the so called entertaining ones are simply drivel.

ie The community channel chic has something like 180+ million views - I can't watch 5 seconds of her stuff.

What is it about these types of channels that draw so many views?

I like iJustine's earlier stuff but she isn't making me laugh too much these days. I think she's running out of ideas. Her brand of happy, goofy-geek is what got me hooked.
