    iPods!

    Got mine today. Pretty cool.

The IRiver is nice as well. But I went for the iPod instead.

I love my ipod and buy most of my music from itunes rather then cds... but I have no good way to listen to it in my car... the tape adapter sucks and always breaks and the fm modulator doesn't sound good either... plus I have a stock stereo. There are companies that make inputs that hook to the cd changer input but they haven't made one for my car.

You will not go wrong with an Ipod, it is the standard and it is great.

I know im a little out of the loop here, but are ipods essentially mp3 players? Do you need a mac to download the songs? why are they so great? etc

I hope they made some significant improvements to the 3rd generations, because the 1st and 2nd generations had many glitches and HORRIBLE battery life...

I am an Iriver fan myself, no matter how good the Ipods look

An iPod is a high-end mp3 player that has become a fashion accessory much like cell phones have. Works with mac or pc.
