    Booked our Avatar tickets

Still not sure if it is going to be good or not but we have booked our tickets anyway. Where are your bets placed on if it is going to be good or not?

I reckon it will be good but you will get a lot of people say it was a let down because of the amount of hype it received. Always the way with these things.

Still report back what you thought, try not to put the ending in your thread title though, people on here don't like that I will prob see it next week.

Yeah, we are on Imax 3d because that is actually the nearest cinema to us showing it.

It looks pretty homoerotic, but it might be canceled out by goodness. Like how the brightly lit dreamlike gay hobbit wizard sex scene in LOTR didn't ruin the rest of the parts but merely made me burst out laughing in the cinema.

I'll see it thursday but I don't have great expectations, I hope the 3D effects will be as funny as in Bloody Valentine. I'am excited if Sam Worthington acts as good as in Terminator Salvation, he was pretty cool I think.

I saw the 15 minute preview in IMAX 3 D in Toronto and it is by far and away the best LOOKING movie I have ever laid my eyes on. I cannot contribute any info on the plot as they showed brief 2 minute clips but it did look entertaining at least. If you are not going to see it in IMAX or at least 3D I would suggest you lose a lot.

Saw it on Sunday. It was very visually impressive but perhaps about 40 minutes too long. The story line isn't all that original but most people are there for the visuals anyway.
