    There are two ways to look at it.
    I don't even have a child, so I am not sure what I would do.

    But some people are so attached to this board, that instead of showing their kids to their friends ( which they don't have ), they simply post their pics here.

            My son is older but when he was 17 he went to an industry BBQ. There were several other younger kids there too. It was at the lake and there was no more drinking, smoking or doing drugs than there was at any non-adult industry BBQ he's gone to.

            One of the things brought up on another board was the perception of OTHERS seeing kids when they know it's a "porn convention". I personally wouldn't take a child to an adult show for fear of the press or the authorities getting wind of it, but I know many, many, MANY people who have.

            And pedophiles are everywhere - you could be showing pictures of your child to one at church, a family gathering, your Christmas cards, the photo developer, etc.

            Bottom line - they are YOUR kids. If you feel comfortable posting pictures, taking to shows, etc. then you will do it

                    I'm not sure if I would post a pic on here, but if I did, I would take the precautions previously mentioned-no names on the files, and I would go a step further to use a yahoo briefcase or something that couldn't be traced by running a whois.
                    It's not that I see it as a problem...
                    I don't think it should be frowned upon so vigorously. That's the main reason I don't post my beautiful, intelligent, funny kids, not because I am not proud of them or don't want to show them off.
                    I consider you my collegues, and just like sharing pics of a car or a dog, or a house, it is part of the camaraderie we build, sharing little bits and pieces of ourselves. Some of us see sharing pics of our kids as sharing the motivations and rewards of our work, perhaps.
                    I would feel their safety was more compromised if I put them in one of those beauty pageants a la Jon Benet Ramsey, personally. I am not exposing my kids to anything by showing a pic of them.

                                    Years ago, we did a video shoot with a girl who turned out to be a complete lunatic. She showed up on set coked to the gills, and proceeded to create absolute chaos.

                                    We told her we'd never shoot her again. Her response? She said she'd report us to Child protective services, let them know what we did, etc, etc. While this never came to anything (she was a binge cocaine addict single mom with two kids), at the time, our daughter was eight, and it was a point of concern.

                                    Eight years later, with our daughter two years from college, it's less of a concern... but the point remains. Posting pics of your kids on an adult webmaster board is legal fodder if the issue ever came up.

                                    Again, this is not an inditement of people who do so. I understand the point of community and certainly understand wanting to show off the joy of a newborn.

                                    Just remember, it's not all about philosophic or moral issues. It's also about perception, which is highly skewed against us outside of our own online community.

I wasen't too concerned about it being on GFY as he is so damn young that his looks change daily and he's still a newborn. Nobody except myself, my girlfriend and immediate family would ever recognize him.

Some people here take shit that is posted so much to the heart that they will do anything to make your life a living hell. You never know what people nowadays are capable of doing. Some may ask the question, "Why would someone go out on the line to hurt your little child?" Because there are a lot of people here that I truely believe have a chemical imbalance in their head.

It was not a pic, but of course the Pedo exagerates things in order to serve his needs. I would NEVER post a pic of my kids on this board. I did however post the url of a clip of my kid shooting a gun. You can't even make out her face in the clip. Sleazy the Pedo is the only one who made a Pedo remark about the clips.
