                            I got to agree with the trust issue. I personally love my affiliate system. I self coded it and it is very customizable to my system and affiliates needs. I know EXACTLY how it works and can easily add anything as needed.

                            Now on that note, my partner wants to move to NATS because "people trust it and it will bring in webmasters." I know dam well I don't rip anyone off. My current webmasters know this too. I don't think paying 700 a month for a system that does EXACTLY what mine does, with extra shit I don't need, and the customization that makes mine nice, is worth it.

                            I know dam well I can easily edit databases and shave my affiliates using NATS. If I wanted to, all I have to do is change the Epoch post back database to show sales under other affiliates and you will be "Shaved." I would NEVER rip off people because they make me my money.

                                    The false sense of security point made me want to reply to this thread. This whole "we make it harder, etc." marketing approach along with open battles with the owners of MPA3 doesn't seem right. I'm sure there are individuals with the similar mind set of PIBCASH (known thief's) who'll try to bank on the fact that webmasters may actually believe "anyone who uses NATS can't shave". I know NATS owners throw in lines saying "but we never said it couldn't be done" etc. but these words seem to come a little too late. Also, all these claims of "oh, we'll take away you license, etc." .. well how about putting into effect the same policy when sponsors go the extra step themselves and say "We are using the NATS affiliate system and cannot modify your stats." .. allowing that should be a crime in itself.

                                        I liked NATS when they camed out, but to be honest I don't like the way they promote their product. MPA fucked up and made a shave feature, yes, it was a stupid fault. But Im tired of hearing about it in every "NATS" thread, that they don't made shaving that easy like "some other" company.

                                                        times in a month then I can even remember.

                                                        We lost MORE webmasters due to FUCKED up ratios
                                                        when we used MPA2.

                                                        Once we switched to NATS, bette ratio's, more money
                                                        and happier webmasters! BEST OF ALL, WE HAVE NOT CRASHED
                                                        ONCE AS A RESULT OF NATS!

                                                                    to Calif. 1 of them was pissed cuz' I refused to pay him
                                                                    commissions when he gave me 1 days notice and left
                                                                    me hanging. ( this was 15 months ago )

                                                                    I later agreed and paid him since he was a long time friend.

                                                                                        That is a mysql issue, not a NATS issue. You are grabbing for desperate things now, I don't know why you feel the need to attack NATS.


                                                                                        However, even thought it is not a NATS issue we can not reach joel but we are on his server looking to fix it It seems that mysql is not running at all, but myisamchk is so it appears as if his host is trying to do something with mysql. We are on top of it and it will be fixed shortly.

                                                                                        THAT is the kind of service NATS provides it's clients.

                                                                                            It will be back up shortly.

                                                                                            NOT a NATS bug. Not a software issue. Lee, you need to stop making the assumptions and throwing accustations around.

                                                                                            The problem will be resolved shortly even though Joel is not around and it's a saturday afternoon. NATS takes care of our customers.

                                                                                                            Joel from Boobdollars.com was repeatedly shut down using MPA2 due to non payment of his rent fees.

                                                                                                            I believe we shut him down 5-6 times during the course of him being an MPA2 client for non-payment and let him slide for months when repeated promises to pay us kept on being made.

                                                                                                            After the last time we shut him off for non-payment he moved away from using MPA2. I would too if I was Joel - he could not afford having Mansion Productions shut off his MPA2 anymore.

                                                                                                            This is not a unique occurrence with MPA2 clients that this happens. But Joel was one of the worst. He is a liar and I have all the communication with him in emails and ICQ if anyone doubts my word on this.

                                                                                                            That is all I should need to say about the above comments from Joel the ex-MPA2 affiliate program owner that does not pay neither for his affiliate program rent fees nor his affiliates.                                                                                                             I would stay away from Boobdollars.com no matter what affiliate program software he use.

                                                                                                            As for Nats - they seem to have a good program going for them and I wish them all the luck in this industry with clients like Joel and Boobdollars.com

Yes, you can not send checks, edit the database (noticable by resellers and triggers flags in NATS< etc.), etc. These things are not "shaving" per say.

                                                                                                                                        Think about it, a guy that is dedicated to the long term by selling a recurring solution, wants his software to be around for a long time... dont start threads and burn bridges with not only one of the smartest guys in the biz, but also one of the nicest ones as well...

Competing sponsor programs, using proprietary software, have been courteous in response to the Nats-client-driven FALSE ADVERTISING. Many program owners have known all along that a little mod_rewrite for example on the inbound traffic sorting and whalla- shaving. So for months we watched the false advertising desperation of nats clients. It is refreshing to see that the less familiar webmasters are exposed to the simple reality.

                                                                                                                                                            I don't support Lee, but it is time for Nats to correct the false advertising that they prospered off of and focus on the benefits of their program- or at least admonish the multiple programs that falsely claimed no-shave like beating a dead horse for so long while intelligent program owners sat back and watched. Time for some professional courtesy and official press release clarifying the previous lies.

                                                                                                                                                                and btw- supplying affiliate software to a lot of companies is a big job with a lot of grief at times. nats provides a needed service for many that we found in the past to be not worth our efforts. we would rather focus on our own programs than cater to others virtual programs. so, i wish nats success in their field is my point.

Nats is built without a shave feature and as far as I can see that's 100% correct. You're saying NATS should 'admonish' their clients for advertising that they use NATS?? LOL!

                                                                                                                                                                    Nats is a real program. It isn't a shady scheme to sue rival webmasters for any small thing while you claim gangstahood or a huge bulkmail operation that they have to worry about getting sued by AOL over. John and Fabian actually provide a concrete service and make their money the right way, without fucking over webmasters and surfers alike like some programs do.
