    Hells Angels use billboard for image campaign

    The Ontario wing of the Hells Angels has put up a billboard on a Toronto highway as part of a new public relations campaign.

    The motorcycle gang says they want to "right the wrongs" done to them by the "government-controlled" media.

    The Angels' PR campaign comes amid an ongoing trial in Barrie, Ont., north of Toronto, in which the Crown is trying to prove that the Hells Angels are a criminal organization.

    If prosecutors succeed, the gang's powers could be severely limited.

    The billboard reads: "Still fighting for democracy and freedom" and directs people to their website. There, the gang claims that stories written about them in local and national papers "tell you everything-- but the truth."

    They say they've been made the "bogeyman for all of society's ills" while such issues as "government corruption and immigration-fed crime... are hamstrung by self-interest and reverse racism."

    They say they are engaged in a business that is "absolutely legal" yet are targeted by prosecutors and victimized by police.

          The HA have been getting a bad rap from the very beginning. False accusations of murder, and RICO violations.

          They make a nice and easy target, but most of the crap out there about them is just that, crap.

          The HA are, for the most part, a great bunch of guys. Just don't fuck with them and they won't fuck with you.

              I think that is pure bullshit, I've seen HA Bikers walk into local bars and just beat the shit out of anything who happens to be standing near them. My friend was standing at the bar, a biker walked up beside him, he looked over and grabbed him and threw him across the room and then beat ths hit out of him, my friend had never met or even spoken a word to the guy before. Their local bar is a coke den, one of their leaders who I actually spoke with admitted he has killed over 100 people during his time in the HA, that is why he was promoted to top ranks.

                                                                                          I have met and partied with Angels from all over the world. I have gone to their parties, shot pool, bullshiited with them on the road, had Thanksgiving dinner with some. If you don't fuck with them, they won't fuck with you.

                                                                                          It does remind me of one time that one of my little sisters told me she read a book about bikers, and had decided that they were nothing to be afraid of . . . "I will just tell them my big brother is a biker."

                                                                                          I suggested that this might not be the best idea she came up with.

Nobody joins the HA because they want to be looked at fondly. Lots of the mafia would treat you and me and their families like royalty. It doesn't mean they don't kill people or deal drugs. The HA are known for murder....just ask the Montreal police about the deaths.

                                                                                                  You and I are pretty safe from these guys. The murders are pretty well confined to rival gangs and gang members. But they're not angels... they're 'Hell's' Angels.

                                                                                                              I have no beef with HA. They can do what they do. It's never effected me one way or the other. The article JFK posted seems to indicate it's a political move for fear that the government is going to crack down on them harder by making it illegal to belong to HA. I don't think the government needs to go that far, but whatever.

                                                                                                                          He was an assassin, he was so good at it that they promoted him to administration. He was also very well recognized as a leader, I seriously doubt he was bullshitting, no reason to brag, he's already a known leader.

                                                                                                                                      i dont know any disciples other than seeing a few frequent a bar i used to drink in. they were rowdy usually and intimidating to say the least, but usually just came in rocked the jukebox had a few rounds and talked bikes. i used to take pics of the bikes sometimes.

                                                                                                                                      i am not familiar with too many of the clubs, just notice the jackets they wear in the bars ;)

                                                                                                                                      and i happen to have drank in some small valley bars that had some long time riders/builders from this area so it was always good times.
