    Lightspeed vs. Sex.com

Sorry if this old hat by now, but the YNot article mentions GFY:

    http://ynotnews.ynotmasters.com/issu...604/page3.html

Last week, a heated debate was sparked on industry chat board GFY. The debate followed an earlier post made by Steve Lightspeed, in which he revealed that searches on Sex.com for the word ?lightspeed? display a link to ASACP, an industry anti-child pornography organization. Gary Kremen was a member of the ASACP Board, but he resigned from the Board shortly after Lightspeed?s post, further fuelling debate about the organization?s credibility.

With the recent departure from the ASACP Advisory Council, I think you will see a much improved relationship between ASACP and Lightspeed Media. We've never been opposed to their cause. We were as surprised as everyone else when we learned that our support of ASACP was unwelcome.

The relationship between Lightspeed and ASACP was damaged by misunderstandings, misdirection, and flat-out political manipulation by since the beginning.

I now have my hand extended, ready to move forward with a new positive relationship with ASACP.

I made assumptions and accusations that I've recently learned were based on misinformation, and for that, I apologize to Joan Irvine, Tom Hymes, Aly Drummond, and ASACP.

Yes, I know, she stepped down for unrelated reasons, but that doesn't mean I don't owe her an apology. Aly was trying to help the situation for a long time, and I was too stubborn to listen to her.

Nice apology Steve. You're one of the few people I can honestly say I've watched turn into both a better business person AND a "bigger" person overall while I've known you.
