    DVD Replication: DVD-9 vs. DLT

I'm tired of the hassle, expense, and bulk of DLT tapes.

I've talked to a couple of houses that are now accepting unencrypted replicated DVD-9 masters for duplication, though I haven't run with it yet. I just hacked my G5 to burn dual layer, so I'm fairly serious.

Have you supplied DVD-9 Masters? Who'd you use? How did they handle encryption files (CSS/Macrovision)? How was the finished product?

If one would take the time to hack a mac to burn dual layers, I would indeed concur that you are very serious about this subject.
