I dont know. Could be that the person she was going out with is working in this industry too, and she wants to come clean before shit hits the fan.
I'll tell you this: chances of a $100 bill going missing and a single $100 bill being found on a person who was dealing are pretty fucking slim.
If I was the host, i would too be positive that she had taken the money.
