    Screwed up relationships

Last year I broke up with my my ex of two years because she was 4 years older (27) than me (23) and I couldn't see a future with her.

Now, I met this girl that lives in another state and is one year older than my ex. I don't believe long distance relationships work and I still think I need to find someone my age.

Yet, I feel an urge to persue a relationship with her. We only spent one day together, but there's some think about her that draws me in.

I pretty much know it will be doomed from the beginning - but I can't seem to avoid thinking how much fun I'd have until the inevitable doom will arrive.

I'm not an expert, no one is, and even self-proclaimed relationship experts are merely running on a streak of success and luck.

In my opinion love and relationships depend simply on acceptance and compromise. Externally love and relationships all look alike, and they all look good and functional. For anyone that's been in a relationship we know that these aren't always the cases.

Whether or not this one will work out has to do with timing, readiness, compromise and common goals. Don't rule it out before it starts.

of course it feels like that... it's only been 1 day, and you wan't to get to know them better and see how they are..

one of the funnest things about dating, in my opinion, is getting to know another person and seeing if you were right in your assumptions of what kinda girl they are...

but a long distance relationship like that is gonna be hard work on both ends

      good luck with it though...

Just don't think too much about, live it on. If it works out in the end, good for both of you, if it doesn't, then it doesn't.

Age in a relationship doesn't matter IMO. If you have fun together and there's an attraction there I don't see any reason not to go for it, regardless to how much older than you she is. Plenty of people have made it work with much bigger agegaps. At the end of the day there's no guarruntee either way so just go with the flow if it makes you happy.
