                                                  yes, you are completely right

                                                  which is why I think all the real dj's need to step it up a notch.....instead of just playing songs dj's now need to be remixing on the fly and creating new music as they dj

                                                  dj production tools like ableton and traktor need to be used more and there needs to be a higher bar that dj's are expected to reach before crowds will take them seriously

                                                  but unfortunately, crowds are dumb, and playing records is always just enough for them
