This is my old roommates room. This is *while* he was living in it. His bed is to the right, behind the door, so he didn't have to walk through the place. He's an EMT by the way.
My old roommate used to be like that. He was a server in a nice restaurant and made some good cash, yet he spent a whole year sleeping on the floor on a small gym mat i lent him.
That is bad but I have a friend I grew up with that should be committed....Ok she lives now in a big single house that looks kept up on the outside but man if you saw what was going on inside you would just want to throw up.
First there are rooms you can not walk into cause she is a compulsive shopper/ packrat and clothes and such just piled up to the top. She has lived there for about 5 years and has never cleaned the place as far as I know. She has 32 cats living there along with 5 ferrets 2 groundhogs and a flying squirel. She use to have a lemur in one of the empty bedrooms that she let shit all over new rugs she had put in when she moved in there.
I have offered to help her get things cleaned up but she refuses.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

She probably has some disorder like OCD, but instead of cleaning all the time, she has a complusion to keep everything.

You should take pics of her shit and put it on ebay for sale...slowly sell her stuff for profit..its not like shes gonna notice if a few piles of clothes or dvd players are missing from the pile..and she will keep stocking the "store" for you
There have been times when I thought our place looked really messy, but then I saw that TV show with those two British women. They go into a really dirty house and clean it up. Well, after I saw a couple of those shows, I felt so much better. I was like...how can people live like that?
It's fucking disgusting!
Mine's not THAT bad, but I am a self professed pig When I lived in the burbs I had a cleaning lady once a week and she helped a lot. But it was a big house and 2 of us living there. Now that I'm in a small house with just me, I have a hard time rationalizing getting someone here in the woods, but the longer I live here, the worse it gets.
I hate clutter. My house is never SPOTLESS, impossible with two kids, but soon as I feel like Im getting the least bit cluttered with crap..I go crazy cleaning..and tidying.

my god, they are runnin How Clean Is Your House? in the States? *shakes head*
My house is like that.
From where I sit, I can see about a dozen empty pizza boxes, two empty crates of beer, dozens of dvds/cdroms/cds, countless newspapers, loads of letters, a few thousand dollars worth of checks, about a dozen empty bottles of wine, several big piles of random stuff, an xbox semi-hidden between a bunch of plastic bags, a tv-card for my laptop (so that's where I left the damn thing!), assorted tools, a bunch of boxes, a vacuum cleaner (lol!), two bikes, tons of magazines and lost and lots of of other shit... and that's just what's on the floor.

You never know-the neice may grow up a neat freak b/c she hates that mess! lol
The last time I stopped by there (like 2 years ago), I couldn't even get to the faucet in the kitchen sink because of all the dishes in the sink and on the counter (and he lives alone).
You know it's bad when your (then) 15 year old son comes home telling you he was grossed out lifting the toilet seat to use the bathroom.
My mess is my mess, it's not bad, but I know where everything is, I know my juice bottle is under my corduroy's,(?) my remotes are under my pillows etc.
