Everyone was sent home by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department.
One set shut down was Robby D's. GFY thread.
Robby D called me at 3:15pm from Digital Playground.
Luke: "What happened?"
Robby: "You guys have to look for better stories, ones with a little more meat to them, or a little more exciting.
"We shoot at a house that we shoot at every day, that everyone shoots at every day. Cops walked up and knocked on the door. I said hi. They said, 'Do you have a filming permit?' I said, 'Not today.' They said, 'OK, you've got to go home.'
"Half an hour later, I was at Rossi eating lunch. That's it.
"They were nice. They were polite. They didn't take any of the equipment, thank God. Because they can take everything. They can confiscate everything. All your equipment, lights, everything. They told me that too.
"It was my first time in seven years to get caught without a permit. The two guys were pretty cool. We made small talk. They said, 'We do this all the time. We bust two or three houses a day. We already did two this morning.'
"He said everyone is so oversaturated, it's really standing out. It's not like a house you shoot at twice a week. You're there seven days a week nowadays. The neighbors are over it."
