im not an expert or anything, but i suggest calling him out on it. Catch him on a day where hes in a decent mood, sit him down and say ask him why he treats your mom like he does. ask him why hes cool to his friends but not his family. Dont be aggresive about it, ask him like you would ask a normal question.
