ok i was working on my car doing some bulb changing when i dropped the bulb under my car, so i got in my car and backed out of my driveway and once i reached the road i heard a kid scream. i thought HOLY **** I HIT SOME KID!!!. i slam on my brakes and get out and the kid is crying his eyes out and im like OMG ARE YOU OK and hes point at the ground to his remote control car uner my back tire. i pull forward and there it is. a crushed 350z remote control car. I FELT LIKE POOP. his mom wasnt mad, i will have to buy him a new car, i wonder if my insurance will cover it lol.

Umm why would you have to cover that? isn't it his fault for having the RC car on the road instead of his driveway? or at a basketball court or some park where it can't get run over?
I've had RC cars and if someone ran mine over while it was on the road I would certainly take responsbility.

If something isn't your fault you should not 'have' to pay for it. Of course its always an option if your feeling geneous to buy the kid another car but the post sounded like he 'had' to buy another car for the kid and that it was not his good hearted nature that made him do it.
I'm not saying what i'd do, i'm just interested in if he would really be at fault for running over a kids rc car on a public road. (or on his own property).
