    I just got back from Vail AND....

    spent the weekend drooling at 15,000+ sq ft 3rd homes that people spend 3 weeks out of the year in.

    I'm sorry to say that I've come to the conclusion the ENTIRE annual gross (and net, for that matter) income of this industry doesn't even amount to a hill of beans when compared to that of (probably) any fortune 500 company out there.

    other than that I had a great time snowboarding =)
    made 1st tracks on a lovely sunny morning in 10" of beautiful light fluffy powder on the 1st day they opened up one of the back bowls... did a few cartwheels for the entertainment of fellow mountain-goers when I did a fuckin endo right under the chair lift, and saw the world's coolest liquor store .. the name you ask? "Beaver Liquors" ... unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to snap a pic :-(

      Oh man alive ... I never wanted to smash someone on the head (due to pure jealousy) so badly before.

      Like a cigarette butt, you just rub it in.

      I am a die hard Telemarker and reading a post like this is heart breaking.

      Oh, BTW ... it went something like this :
      "blah blah blah blah snow blah 1st tracks blah powder mountains blah chairlift[?] blah..."

      P.S. j/k about the smashing part ... seriously, I am happy for you.

                  that's the 1st time I've ever hit my head 3 times in the same fall ... the 3rd time was the worst, cuz by that time I had slowed enough that I just smacked down on my head and stuck like that in the snow, then my board followed and folded me in half (still doing a headstand) ... after the stars cleared from my vision, I felt like I had whiplash for the rest of the day.

                  My helmet paid for itself!
