    1=2 - want proof?

    a=1 , b=1

    hence

    a=b and b=a

    hence

    ab=a^2

    hence

    ab - b^2 = a^2 - b^2

    hence

    b(a-b) = (a+b)(a-b)

    hence

    b = a + b

    hence

    1 = 2

        Nope, wrong.

        You cant divide by zero, which is what you did here:

          If you plug in the variables at some spots here your trick does not work. You should be able to plug in the variables anywhere. This would be true if a or b where unknown maybe.

                      you dummy, when working with variables, you cannot divide by zero, and the laws of common arithmetic don't apply. you need calculus and limits to figure out things like that

                        Nice try ... but here is your mistake :

                        b(a-b) = (a+b)(a-b)
                        hence
                        b = a + b

                        Wrong you can not make that deduction. But it was pretty funny
                        I have nothing to advertise ... yet.

                                    the falacy is numbers cannot be divided by ZERO

                                    so the process divide(a-b) is impossible.
