if people understood the lifetime economic cost of getting visible tatts they would not do it.
and for women it is especially bad, because it limits her pool of marriage partners, thus limiting the social mobility of her offspring.
i'm sure that many here will not comprehend this, but there are MANY men in the world who will dismiss otherwise attractive females as potential mates if they see tatts on her...and these men tend to be better educated and more upwardly mobile than men who will consider a women with tatts for a mate.
