    Fact or Myth : Tijuana Donkey Shows

    A couple friends and I have had this conversation a few times... Are the famous "donkey shows" down in TJ a true thing or not? It always seems kinda like an urban legend since its always a "friends, brothers, cousin saw one once" type thing... I know if they are true then one of you here would have actually been to one... If so where are they? and how recent did you see it?

    BTW if they are true then I do SERIOUSLY want to know where they are so I can take a friend of mine to it for his bachelor party down there next month.

                                          Don't know about TJ but I was at a show in Mazatlan where they brought a donkey out on stage. No idea what happened. A friend started freakin out about it so I dragged him out (we were both wasted) and we cabbed it back to town.. The other guys that stayed said that nothing happened, the chick just danced around it etc. But who the hell knows, they were sort of acting "odd" when telling the story.

                                                                  I do not plan on it being a "good thing" to see BUT its just one of those things to see to prove its true or not...

                                                                                      7) Opens a bottle of Coca Cola

                                                                                      8) And a mouse/rat/gerbel creature of some sort which actually went inside and bit her while on stage. She ran off and that was the last time they ever did the critter show.

                                                                                          I had a detail in San Diego in 1999, I hated the town for the first month of the gig, one of my cohorts I was hanging out with at the time talked me into going to Mexico thinking that might cheer me up, don't ask me where we were, its was one of those select weekends I would like to forget all about...

                                                                                          Some of the distinct stuff I do remember that weekend was having one of the best farmers breakfast I had ever had until I came across this really dark hair in my eggs, but enough of my culinary exploits.

                                                                                          We were in this dank little club and there was this really nasty mexican hooker, (grandmother, whatever) giving this donkey a real gumjob, I'm sure there was more, but I really didn't have the stomach to watch much more. This pretty much sealed it for me not wanting to party in border towns for some years to come.

                                                                                          I wish I could be more help, I'll bookmark the thread and next time I see my cohort in San Diego, I'll ask him if he remembers the town/club this all went down in.
