Try taking melatonin supplements about two hours before you want to sleep. Melatonin is a natural chemical areas of your brain releases to help induce sleep. The hot bath may indeed help in a way by relaxing your muscles. However, the need for the body to cool itself during the sleep process will most likely be delayed if a hot bath is taken right before bed.
